“Evil has settled in the house. It lives in the walls, its skin is a faded wallpaper patterned with cream roses turning into slippery chunks of meat. Children’s drawings on the wallpaper become part of the monster’s body and are distorted into terrible visions. The creature wanders the house in search of victims for its terror. How to reveal the weak point of a creature and protect yourself when everything close and familiar has turned into a horror? Could life in a house touched by evil be possible?” 

 Working with the inmost, the sacral, the vulnerable and the painful — shared with others and personal — leads the artist to Horror, as an intense reality in which empathy is opposed to monstrous malignant formations. In the “Walls” installation, Ksenia turns to the “Haunted house” horror subgenre.
